Volume 5, Issue 2 (2026) of the African Journal of Pharmacy and Alternative Medicine (AJPAM) presents research spanning alternative medicine, pharmaceutical sciences, and clinical pharmacy practice. The issue features studies on the therapeutic potential and pharmacological properties of medicinal plants, including an investigation of Senna occidentalis leaf extracts in the treatment of bacterial gastroenteritis and a study examining the antidiabetic effect of fractionated Strophanthus hispidus extract using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry analysis. The Clinical and Practice of Pharmacy section includes research on the etiology, prevalence, and risk factors of bacterial meningitis among children under five in Nakuru County, Kenya. It also presents findings on prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV among HIV-exposed infants at a tertiary teaching and referral hospital in Kenya. In addition, the issue examines knowledge and attitudes toward cervical cancer and human papillomavirus vaccination among residents of Rongai Sub-County, Nakuru County, Kenya.
