The East African Journal of Nursing (EAJN) upholds the highest standards of scholarly publishing through a rigorous double-blind peer review process. All submitted manuscripts undergo thorough and impartial evaluation by qualified experts in the relevant field of nursing, ensuring the scientific integrity, originality, and relevance of published research.

Each submission is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who assess the methodological soundness, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the field. Authors are expected to revise their work in accordance with reviewer recommendations prior to final acceptance.

Article Processing Charges (APC)
The East African Journal of Nursing (EAJN) welcomes the submission of original, high-quality research articles in all areas of nursing. To support the costs associated with the peer review process, editorial management, online hosting, and long-term archiving, the journal applies an Article Processing Charge (APC).

The standard APC is USD 150 for non-members and USD 100 for members of affiliated institutions or professional associations. This fee becomes payable only after the manuscript has successfully passed peer review and has been formally accepted for publication.

EAJN remains committed to maintaining an affordable and transparent open-access publishing model that ensures wide dissemination and accessibility of nursing scholarship.
